Magnum Volleyball Club

Magnum was formed in November 2004 for those in the Midlands of South Carolina (Columbia and surrounding areas) looking for a high level of commitment and training.  Since that time Magnum teams have been at the top of the age group they have been in.  In September of 2009 Magnum combined with their sister club, Carpe Diem Volleyball Club, to become the largest club in the Midlands area and to offer volleyball to players of any age and skill level.  Magnum now has teams in all ages from 12 to 18 and from Elite level teams to club level teams.  Whether you want to make volleyball high priority in your life with goals of playing volleyball in college or if you just want to play club to be a better player on your high school team, Magnum is the club for you.  The club is run like a college team and everything we do- from practice design to conditioning- is geared to have every one of our athletes reach new personal levels as a player and new goals as a team.  We are also very committed to getting our athletes exposure to college coaches and we do many things to have this happen.

• Practice up to 3 times a week for elite and power teams, 2 practices for club teams
• The best coaches in the Midlands area.  Many of our coaches are current or former college coaches with a proven track record of winning and quality technical training.
• Lowest coach to Player ratio.  We are the only club in the Midlands that has more than one coach on each team.  Each Magnum Elite team has 2 coaches, most of our power teams do and some of our club teams do.  We are committed to training our coaches and making sure they are all teaching the same technique to our players.  We do coaches clinics throughout the year and require that all coaches become IMPACT certified and our Elite coaches are all CAP 1 certified.
• More division 1 college coaches on staff than any other club in the Midlands area.
• Attending 5 or 6 multi-day tournaments with more exposure to college coaches than any other Midlands club.
• a 6 month season (for elite and power players, 4.5 months for club level)- longer than any other club in a 50 mile radius. Our season will go even longer if we receive a bid to Nationals in late June.
• Additional training after the regular season is over.  The Magnum Academy gives our athletes the opportunity to train for 2 more months and attend 2 more tournaments to increase their skills even further.
